Sanitary Rotary Lobe Pump is suitable for continuous delivery of high-risk liquid chemical media such as strong acids, strong alkalis, organic solvents, strong fluorinating agents, etc. of any concentration. When delivering liquid corrosive media with a solid particle content of about 5%, it is necessary to match corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant mechanical seals. If the working conditions for the pump head are not high, it is recommended to use a low-speed motor of 1450 rpm, which can greatly extend the service life of the pump.

1. Fault: The sanitary rotary vane pump does not absorb water, and the pressure gauge jumps violently.

Reason: The water injection is not enough. There is air in the pump. The suction pipe and the meter pipe are leaking.

Solution: Fill the water injection. Check the pipeline and eliminate the leakage.

2. Fault: The flow rate is lower than the design flow rate.

Reason: The impeller is blocked. The gap of the sealing ring is too worn. The speed is not enough.

Solution: Remove the blockage. Replace the sealing ring. Increase the speed to the specified value on the nameplate.

3. Fault: The outlet pressure gauge of the sanitary rotary vane pump indicates pressure, but the pump discharges little or no water.

Cause: The outlet pipe resistance is large. Wrong direction. Impeller is blocked. Insufficient speed.

Solution: Reduce pipe resistance. Check motor direction. Remove impeller blockage. Increase speed.

Common faults and quick solutions of sanitary rotary vane pumps

4. Fault: The vacuum gauge indicates high vacuum, but the sanitary rotary vane pump still does not absorb water.

Cause: The bottom valve is not open or is seriously blocked. The suction pipe resistance is large. The suction height is too high.

Solution: Check the flexibility of the bottom valve valve and remove the blockage. Try to make the suction pipeline simple. Reduce the suction height.

5. Fault: The sanitary rotary vane pump consumes too much power.

Cause: The packing is pressed too tightly and the packing chamber is heated. The impeller is worn. The pump water supply is too large.

Solution: Loosen the packing gland. Replace the impeller. Close the gate valve to reduce the flow.

6. Fault: The sound inside the sanitary rotary vane pump is abnormal, and the pump does not discharge water.

Cause: The resistance of the suction pipe is too large. The suction height is too large. Air enters the suction pipe. The temperature of the pumped liquid is too high.

Solution: Check whether the suction pipe is blocked. Clean the bottom valve, reduce the liquid temperature or reduce the suction height.

7. Fault: Pump vibration

Cause: The pump shaft and the motor shaft are not concentric. The impeller is unbalanced. The bearing clearance is too large.

Solution: Adjust the pump and motor to align the axis. The impeller passes the balance test, and the unbalanced weight is required to be about 3 grams. Replace the bearing.

8. Fault: Bearing heating

Cause: The bearing is short of oil or the oil viscosity is too high, which affects lubrication. The bearing wear clearance is too large. The pump and motor are not concentric.

Solution: Add oil. Change to good oil or oil with low viscosity. Replace the bearing. Adjust the pump and motor to ensure concentricity.

9. Fault: Loud noise

Cause: The pump and motor are not installed concentrically. The pump or motor bearing is worn and vibrates.

Solution: Adjust the pump and motor to ensure concentricity. Replace with new bearings.
