1. Solid-Liquid Mixing Pump common flushing and cooling methods are:

1. Self-flushing, the flushing medium is introduced into the sealing chamber through the pipe from the outlet of the pump.

2. Backwashing, the flushing medium is introduced into the sealing chamber through the pipe from the inlet of the pump for backwashing.

3. Through-flushing, the structure that combines self-flushing and backwashing is called through-flushing.

4. External flushing is to pass the pressurized medium of the external system into the sealing chamber, and change the flushing medium to the same medium in the sealing chamber, or a medium that has no effect on the process production.

In addition to the above-mentioned flushing and cooling methods, another commonly used flushing and cooling method is local circulation flushing and cooling. This flushing method is to circulate the medium in the sealing chamber with the help of a pumping impeller to take away the friction heat of the end face. This method is suitable for occasions when the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of the pump is very small.

The above flushing methods all use the pressure difference to make the medium flow to achieve the purpose of flushing and cooling. The specific method to be used depends on the pressure, temperature and other conditions. For example, in a general single-stage centrifugal pump, when the seal chamber pressure is less than the pump outlet pressure but greater than the inlet pressure, either self-flushing cooling or backwashing cooling can be used. When the seal chamber pressure is close to the inlet and outlet pressures, through-flushing cooling can be used. When the temperature of the sealing medium is high, external flushing cooling can be used.
