How To Achieve High Sealing State With Sanitary Rotary Lobe Pump
Sanitary Rotary Lobe Pump Application: Sanitary rotary cam pumps are widely used in chemical, petroleum, metallurgy, light industry, synthetic fiber, environmental protection, food, medicine and other departments, and play a great role in improving product quality, reducing running, bubbling, dripping, leakage, preventing pollution and improving the environment. How does it achieve high sealing state? This question can be explained from the following two aspects.
1. Sealing form
For static seals, there are usually only two forms of sealing gaskets and sealing rings, and O-rings are the most widely used sealing rings; for dynamic seals, sanitary rotary cam pumps rarely use packing seals, mainly mechanical seals, which are divided into single-end and double-end, balanced and unbalanced types. The balanced type is suitable for sealing high-pressure media (usually refers to pressure greater than 1.0MPa), and the double-end mechanical seal is mainly used for high-temperature, easy-to-crystallize, viscous, particle-containing and toxic volatile media. The double-end mechanical seal should inject isolation fluid into the sealing cavity, and its pressure is generally higher than the medium pressure by 0.07~0.1MPa.
2. Sealing material
The material of the static seal of the sanitary rotary cam pump is generally fluororubber, and polytetrafluoroethylene is used in special cases; the material configuration of the dynamic and static rings of the mechanical seal is more critical, and it is not the best to use cemented carbide against cemented carbide. The high price is one aspect, and it is not reasonable to have no hardness difference between the two, so it is best to treat them differently according to the characteristics of the medium.
