Sanitary Rotary Lobe Pump is a pump and motor combination, it has low vibration and noise, low motor temperature rise, no pollution to the environment, compact structure, small footprint, because it works underwater, it can be directly installed in the sewage pool, no need to build a special pump room to install the pump and motor, which can save a small amount of land and infrastructure costs; the continuous operation time is long, because the pump and motor are coaxial, the shaft is short, and the weight of the rotating parts is light, so the load (radial) on the bearing is relatively small, and the life is much longer than that of ordinary pumps.

The advantages of sanitary rotary vane pumps are simple installation, small footprint, easy maintenance, and no noise. They are widely used in municipal engineering, factories, commerce, hospitals, hotels, residential areas, etc. for sewage discharge. However, everything is divided into two parts. The most critical issue for sanitary rotary vane pumps is reliability, because the use of sanitary rotary vane pumps is underwater; the medium to be transported is a mixed liquid containing solid materials; the pump and motor are very close; the pump is arranged vertically, and the weight of the rotating parts is in the same direction as the water pressure on the impeller. These problems make the requirements of sanitary rotary vane pumps in terms of sealing, motor load capacity, bearing arrangement and selection higher than those of general sewage pumps.

When using sanitary rotary vane pumps, lubricating oil is indispensable. It is a powerful helper to reduce the friction between the static ring and the dynamic ring, making the sanitary rotary vane pump have a longer life and higher efficiency.

In general, in order to control operating costs, the amount of lubricating oil can be reduced while the sanitary rotary vane pump can operate efficiently. For sanitary rotary vane pumps, the oil chamber is located in the cavity between the connecting seat and the guide body. Since the volume of sanitary rotary vane pumps is generally large, their oil chambers are also relatively large, so more lubricating oil is installed. However, when the sanitary rotary vane pump is running, its mechanical seal does not need too much lubricating oil, so adding too much lubricating oil will cause waste and increase operating costs.

In order to solve the problem of excessive lubricating oil consumption in sanitary rotary vane pumps, we designed the outer stop of the connection seat to be 15mm away from the outside of the oil baffle, reduce the axial size of the guide body oil chamber, and the distance between the lower end of the upper mechanical seal and the lower end face of the groove is 3mm. The diameter of the guide body groove is smaller than the diameter of the oil chamber, and the diameter of the groove is 10mm larger than the rotation diameter of the upper mechanical seal. The upper end face of the groove is lower than the oil filling hole. This helps to reduce the volume of the oil chamber and save lubricating oil during operation.
