Meaning Of Model Identification Of Single Screw Pump
Single Screw Pump Requirements to be met
(1) The requirements of process parameters such as flow rate, head, pressure, temperature, and cavitation margin must be met.
(2) The requirements of medium characteristics must be met:
① For pumps that transport flammable, explosive, toxic or precious media, the shaft seal must be reliable or a leak-free pump must be used, such as a shielded pump, a magnetic drive pump, a diaphragm pump, etc.
② For pumps that transport corrosive media, the flow-through parts must be made of corrosion-resistant materials.
③ For pumps that transport media containing solid particles, the flow-through parts must be made of wear-resistant materials, and the shaft seal should be flushed with clean liquid when necessary.
(3) The installation requirements on site must be met.
① For pumps installed in places where corrosive gases exist, measures to prevent atmospheric corrosion must be taken.
② For pumps installed in outdoor environments with an ambient temperature below -20℃, the cold brittleness of the pump must be considered and low-temperature resistant materials must be used.
③ For pumps installed in explosive areas, explosion-proof motors should be used according to the level of the explosive area.
(4) For factories that require a major overhaul once a year, the continuous operation cycle of the pump should generally not be less than 8,000 hours. In order to meet the requirement of a major overhaul every three years, APl610 (8th edition) stipulates that the continuous operation cycle of pumps used in the petroleum, heavy chemical and gas industries is at least 3 years.
(5) The design life of the pump is generally at least 10 years. APl610 (8th edition) stipulates that the design life of centrifugal pumps used in the petroleum, heavy chemical and gas industries is at least 20 years.
(6) The design, manufacture and inspection of the pump shall comply with the provisions of relevant standards and specifications.
(7) When determining the model and manufacturer of the pump, factors such as the pump's performance, energy consumption, reliability, price and manufacturing specifications should be comprehensively considered.
