Installation tips for CIP Return Pump:
1. The key to the installation technology of CIP return pump is to determine the installation height of CIP return pump (i.e. suction head). This height refers to the vertical distance from the water surface to the center line of the impeller of CIP return pump. It cannot be confused with the allowable suction vacuum height. The allowable suction vacuum height indicated on the CIP return pump product manual or nameplate refers to the vacuum value on the water inlet section of CIP return pump, and it is measured by testing at 1 standard atmospheric pressure and water temperature of 20 degrees Celsius. It does not take into account the water flow conditions after the water suction pipe is matched. The installation height of CIP return pump should be the remaining value after the allowable suction vacuum height is deducted from the loss head of the water suction pipe. It must overcome the actual terrain water suction height. The installation height of CIP return pump cannot exceed the calculated value, otherwise, CIP return pump will not be able to pump water.

2. The magnitude of the calculated value is affected by the resistance loss head of the suction pipe. Therefore, it is advisable to adopt the shortest pipeline layout and install as few elbows and other accessories as possible. It is also possible to consider appropriately matching larger diameter water pipes to reduce the flow rate in the pipe.

3. It should be pointed out that when the elevation and water temperature of the CIP return pump installation site are different from the test conditions, such as the local altitude of more than 300 meters or the water temperature of the pumped water exceeds 20 degrees Celsius, the calculated value should be corrected. That is, the atmospheric pressure at different altitudes and the saturated steam pressure at a water temperature above 20 degrees Celsius. However, when the water temperature is below 20 degrees Celsius, the saturated steam pressure can be ignored.

4. From the perspective of pipeline installation technology, the suction pipe requires strict sealing, and no air or water leakage, otherwise it will destroy the vacuum at the water inlet of the CIP return pump, reduce the water output of the CIP return pump, and even fail to pump water in severe cases. Therefore, the interface work of the pipeline should be done carefully to ensure the construction quality of the pipeline connection.
